Slow Down by BAMBU
Bambu: Slow Down (with Prometheus Brown of Blue Scholars) from Beatrock Music on Vimeo.
It's another "Pinoy making noise", but dont get it twisted, this dude (Bambu) has already a name for himself. He is 1/3 of the group named Native Gunz which is quite famous along the Filipino society at Los Angeles California.

Zooom!
The only person I knew back then was Schumacher, he was on that red hot Ferrari together with his wing man Eddie Irvine, but things changed on a sudden. I became a fan of that so called Formula One Grand Prix, so I tuned every time when there was a race. And luckily as I never thought, the season runs for almost the whole year. So tuning in was a treat every weekend or two. I still remember the hot feud between the Ferrari and the Mclaren-Mercedes who both have cigarette brands as their major sponsors, the Marlboro and the West brands, and not to forget about the Lucky Strike cig sponsor for the BAR-Honda. Damn, I can still name a few from back then.
Jordan-Honda was that yellow car, which was below average amongst the pack. While Williams BMW with their drivers Juan Pablo Montoya (competing at NASCAR nowadays) and Ralph Schumacher(little brother of Michael) was at the third rankings. Euro-Minardi was always at the bottom, so it was a no brainer to know their drivers back in the days. On that green car was Jaguar, where Irvine transferred because he wants to be the main man instead of a wing man at Ferrari. The battle for tire brands was also there, Michelin vs Bridgestone, until that controversy from the Michelin brand for their poor performance that made other teams that supports their brands to withdraw from the Indianapolis race that left 6 cars or so racing. Bridgestone became the major tire sponsor for all the team the following year. It was Hakkinen-Coulthard against Schumi-Barrichelo, it was head to head and toe to toe. Point after points as they battle for that Constructors championship and individual aclaims as the season nears to an end. The two manufacturers are almost identical as if their the only ones competing.
I remember those days, season after season as I've watched and anticipated. Wondering what changes on the cars, teams, drivers and rules from the FIA could have been made. For me it was the most anticipated sport to watch aside from the NBA.
Well.. it's F1 season once again. To make it more exciting, Schumi is back but racing for the Mercedes-Benz GP (former Brawn GP) and two more additional teams are added (Hispania Racing and Lotus). It's F1 season y'all!

It's my BURFDAY
Thanks to Mom and Dad for my favorite junk foods (2 boxes of pizza at Shakey's, Don Henricos Buffalo Wings, Yellow Cab's Charlie Chan Spaghetti and Pistachio Ice cream, and a cake from Mom and Tina's) . Had it delivered because were too lazy to go out on a Tuesday night. Salamat!
As I've been thinking, it aint right for us to celebrate, the ones should do the celebrating should be our MOMS. Not us. Try to get a glimpse of it, our mom are the ones who had a hard time putting us out in this world, all the thing we did was to curl up on our mama's belly and cried when they let us through the world.. with a slap on our butts. So starting from now until the day I die, I want to spend my birthdays with my mom who gave me the opportunity to roam around this world. Thanks Mom!

Balita II
Ano na Balita?
by GAB
Another month has passed by and im still here waiting for my time to shine. February was a gruelling month, first it was the coming of “El nino” which turned the bright sunny days to an exhausting and sweaty one. Besides of the oven like heat when noon comes, it’s crazy. Feb gave me hopes, got a couple of interviews from different companies which I sent resumes, but ofcourse the first one was a mess. It was my very first interview and I didn’t know what to expect, almost speechless when topics turned upside down. My mouth trembles and mumbles as if I want to say “I don’t have a f*ckin’ idea on what you are saying”. Sheesh, its like tearin me apart. After that interview, I told myself that I need to work on my talking. So a couple of more interviews came and a little by little my confidence was getting good, but needless to say, still got no call or reply so as to get that final interview to get the job. My hopes are still there but Im getting exhausted. I hope this month of March will be a good one.
As I was counting, its been 4 months since I became a bummer. A dude with nothing to do but lay around and glue myself on tv, but October and November was that time when I constantly held the house for cleaning because of Ondoy, since my mom and pop needs to go to work for us to live, somebody needs to get paid. That was the most exhausting month of my life. So the official score is 3 months.. still counting. I haven’t been so restrained in my whole life till now, it really sux and boredom is killing me. Buying news paper every Sunday and checking my email subscription at JobsDB and JobStreet to look for a job was the most decent things I could ever do since being a bummer. Now I know how hard it is to look for a job.. especially me who didn’t pass the board.. twice. Damn. Unlucky me.Tuesday, March 2, 2010
