TV time

Had the chance to see the opening games of the Fil-Oil invitationals.. at TV (haha!). I was tuned in at Studio 23 awhile ago during the afternoon and I saw mad actions during time outs. It was nutts, I never thought that coaches would be so damn tough considering it was just the first games they played on the tourney. Here are some conversations during time-outs of the games.

ATENEO vs SAN BEDA
Frankie Lim: Anu ba tinuro ko sayo?
Player: Ganito po coach..
Frankie Lim: Eh bakit ayaw mo gawin? Ayaw mo na ba maglaro ha?!
(but i cant see why he cant yell at his "negro" player Daniels. cguro takot sya dun)

DLSU vs LETRAN
Coach Alas: Kayong dalawa! (referring to his sons) Bakit ganon ang ginawa nyo?!
Alas brothers: Eh.. coach...
Coach Alas: Anak ng Patola! Tinatanung ko kayo kanina kung pagod na kayo.. suban na kayo, sabi nyo kaya nyo pa. Eh bakit ganyan.

* no wonder players are some what soft at the inside.

When Boredom STRIKES

It was a pretty hot Monday morning and like a typical day, I had nothing to do. I remembered my sister buying a couple of packs of gummi bears from the last weekends grocery so I searched for it. Luckily there's still a pack left, so I asked my sister if she's gonna eat it, but just before saying something, I quickly told her that Ima use it for a couple of minutes. Bam! Time to set up before she realize something awkward.

Took my dads cam, a couple of used calendars and my imagination. I pulled out the idea from National Geographics commercial, a video focusing on gummi bears inner distinct features (as if it has), then slowly zooming out to portray the candy and then the green gummi bear suddenly falling down. Now why cant i make it for real, but in a still frame, I mean picture. Poof!

Had fun making this shoot, but got really awkward when my aunt and sister stared at me at the dining table with their blank eyes saying "What the...". Well its all good though. The only draw back from working with this "BEARS" are their stickiness, I never thought they'd be sticky as hell until I pulled them to rearrange blockings. They left marks on the calendars.

BTW, I ate those pretty uncooperative ones. Haha.. nah, I gave it back to my sister but handing it over to me again telling me "Nahawakan mo na yan eh.. penge nalang isa".

Dead Dreams, New Life

Sooner or later, some (if not all) of our career goals wont come true. Like a starry-eyed graduate who expected to get hired soon after leaving the university halls, only to anguish being jobless for months. Or the ambitious yuppie out to make a big name for himself in the corporate world, only to toil in obscurity. Or the mid-life person who looks back at his career choices with bitter regret.
