Crate Diggin' (College Project)

Body by BoogieBoys

I was crate digging, trying to look for old pictures when I stumbled on this video of ours back in 2004. On the video was me, Labiaga, Palomo and cameos by Vargas and Larin. This was a project when we were in 2 year college if Im not mistaken, it was a Filipino subject handled by Mrs. Ifurung. The concept of the project was to translate a Filipino song to an English one and vice versa and make a music video out of it. We chose Katawan by the Hagibis to translate it to English and Get Down on It by Kool and The Gang for the tagalog. Labiaga was the one responsible for the lyrics, I made the the choreography and sequence, Reji volunteered to be the Cameraman because he doesnt want to dance and Jp made his part by accommodating us for a night. The night shot was done by the help of JC Larin, man I still remember that we have no venue for it because the original plan was to go to Ralph's place (which was located just below JC's place) since Ralph was not yet home we asked JC if he could help us assist on what we need, like the boombox, chair, bike and what so ever. Ralph then did came and we used his car for our "intro" gangsta look. The night came to an end with alot of laughter from the six of us, the shoot was fun, hella crazy. After a week or so we went to my house and recorded the song on a tape, and shot some extra for Alison. The following day, we went to a video editor which was located beside the school, "street life" it is and for just one night the video was done.
When screening time at school came, "WE" were the first one to hand our professor a cd and first one to be watched. I can still remember that the auditorium was reserved for us to watch the projects. It was f**king bananas! Our classmates almost fell out of their seats when our video was playing, smiles and laughter from start till the end, its crazy. So after the class, we were told to stay by our prof. She scolded at us, asked why is it like that and so on. By the end of the semester, we got a low grade (like 3?) in Filipino (damn!) atleast we passed. But everytime I watch this video of ours, as in like over and over again.. it just makes me laugh. See you guys in the next joints, maybe i'll get something on my crate diggin again.

My favorite scene?! When we were running at the street, sssslommmo. =)
Whats yours?
Leave it on the comment board.. thnx! =)

Much props for Larin and Ralph for helping us and making this possible! PEACE!
